Day 63 – Pizza is the Word

Proverbs 3:5-6     Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and will be make your paths straight.

So back in January, I was challenged by the leader of a retreat on which I am serving to stop singing Oceans. We were challenged to stop until we could sing the bridge and mean the words as we sing them.

“Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders. Let me walk upon the waters wherever you would lead me. Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander, and my faith will be made stronger in the presence of my Savior.”

I can say, for the first time, I am ready. I am ready to go wherever God will lead me. I am ready to lay aside myself, my pride, my ego, my reputation, and to put God’s will, God’s reputation, God’s plan for my life ahead all else. I realize this may mean that I am misunderstood. Or it may mean that I am put into situations that make my flesh uncomfortable. Or it may mean that I am about to experience more joy, more faith, more beauty, more miracles in life than I have ever seen. I’m ready.

How about you? Do you sing Oceans and mean it?

pizza3Day 63 and I’m a pizza eating fool. I haven’t made it lately because every time I do, that is all I eat that day. Today is no exception. I used the crust I have told you about before, but this time I added black bean/corn salsa as a topping. It was DELICIOUS! I even added a little chili powder to the pizza sauce to make it extra tasty. I ate it for lunch, and then again for dinner. And I feel no shame. Ha! I think the reason I love it so much is I can change the flavor profiles so easily. And I can use up whatever is in my refrigerator.

That’s it for me on Day 63. Sleep tight, friends!

Be Blessed!
